Natural Stone Necklace with Opal in Hand-Carved Black Onyx with Sterling Silver

I hand-carve the center out of this black onyx “pod” in order to snugly fit two 6mm opal “peas”. The pendant measures 25mm x 18mm x 5mm thick and is strung on a sturdy 18″ silver chain with a lobster-claw clasp (I can put this on a larger or smaller chain or even on an adjustable cord necklace if you want – just add a note at checkout and I will take care of it). These opals are a man-made composite of silica and resin but are absolutely brilliant and iridescent! These are very expensive little beads but are harder than natural opal and will hold up better to heat and cold. The brilliance of the beads in the photo are exactly what it is like in person – the beads capture and radiate natural light in a myriad of colors.

This is not mass produced assembly line style – it is made singly with mindful focus by me. Own something that is as quirky and unique as you! All necklaces ship with a muslin pouch in a gift-box.
