Stoney Mountain Rock with Arizona Turquoise

This pendant necklace is absolutely one of a kind. I find this rock in a very specific location on Stoney Mountain behind my house. This one yielded a pendant with two distinct sides – one with a more solid earth-tone and another with inclusions of milky quartz. I must have cut this stone right where the quartz met the darker stone millions of years ago when it formed. In one of the pics is what the stone looks like raw before I cut it and work it.

In the center is a smoothed Arizona blue turquoise nugget (12mm x 10mm) with sterling silver spacers. The pendant measures 38mm x 35mm. This is stung on an 18″ silver chain with a lobster-claw clasp (I can put this on a larger or smaller chain or even on an adjustable cord necklace if you want – just add a note at checkout and I will take care of it.)
